Attend In-Person or Virtually
AAEM's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee has created the African American Outreach program to build a relationship with potential AAEM members that may not otherwise have a forum to share knowledge of cultural exploration exposure to the national conference. We invite AAEM members to bring Black non-member EM physicians to attend the conference as a guest with a waived registration fee. Note: This opportunity is available to members attending the conference in-person only. Limit of 5 guests per member. You will be prompted to include your guest(s) information during AAEM21 registration, and AAEM staff will contact your guest(s) based on eligibility with further instructions.
If you have already registered for AAEM21 and want to add Black physician guests for this program OR if you are a Black physician non-member who wants to attend as a guest, please complete the form below.
AAEM will be following the current protocols as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control, City of St. Louis, and Hilton Hotels to ensure the safety of conference attendees, exhibitors, faculty, and sponsors.

To visit the United States, you must have a valid passport. For many participants, letters of invitation help smooth the visa process. We wish to support international attendees in their efforts to secure the needed travel documentation. However, in order to receive a letter of invitation to AAEM21, AAEM must be assured that you intend to attend the meeting if your travel request is granted.
Individuals that require an official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa and authorization to attend the meeting must:
The letter of invitation does not financially obligate the American Academy of Emergency Medicine organizers in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the meeting are the sole responsibility of the attendee.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will receive a visa. The decision to grant visas is at the sole discretion of the embassy/consulate. The meeting organizers cannot change the decision of the governmental agency should your application be denied. Due to the costs involved, we cannot send letters of invitation via express mail services.
Advance travel planning and early visa application are important. It is recommended that you apply early for your visa.
There is no penalty for switching from in-person registration to virtual registration or vice versa. Scientific Assembly content is available to members.
