The theme of this competition is “My First Solo Shifts.” Please submit an experience from your emergency medicine training, clinical or otherwise, where you learned an important lesson that could help you on your first shift practicing independently.
Five resident speakers will be selected to present at AAEM21 in St. Louis, MO, between 5:00pm-5:50pm on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 during the AAEM/RSA Track.

What are Breve Dulce Talks?
Breve Dulce talks are 7-minute presentations of an experience fitting into the theme provided told on 20 slides with 20 seconds per slide. Time and number of slides are strictly enforced.
Winning Submissions and Prizes
Winning submissions will be notified of their acceptance and speaking time by March 1, 2021.
Competition judging will take place in real-time by a panel of peer and faculty judges, and the top 3 winners will receive a cash prize.
